Volvo: 1994 940 power seats, britian, assy

Question
I got the seat back reclined all the way and now it won't come back up. Initially I was able to move the seat fore and aft but it felt like it was struggling, but now it doesn't seem to want to move in any direction. I checked the fuse and it's good. I've got a shop manual and the schematic indicates there is a "stop switch" inline with the power but I can't find it. I should mention the only manual I could find was from Britian so I assume a "stop switch' may be a circuit breaker? Are there any secrets on these things? Personally I don't care if the seat moves as long as I can get it back up. Any suggestions? thanks, Larry

Answer
Hello Larry! There should only be a stop switch on the passenger seat. More than likely the switch assy. will need to be replaced. It is a very common problem. Just make sure all wires are connected under the seat. Also, you can go to www.volvotechinfo.com for a manual.
