Question
I have a 84 240 GL had to replace ignition harness and distributor.  I am having a difficult time getting the distributor right. I have had it running   
but was about 180 degress out. Cant seem to get the tooth. would apprieciate any helpful hints or advice

I've had the same type of woes with my distributor, and the only advice I can give is to man handle it.  I've never found a secret, other than to take the time, follow the instructions in my Hayne's manual to the letter.  Sorry I can't offer any more good advice than that!
