Volvo: 93 960 starting problem & keyless entry, fuel pump relay, fuel pumps

Question
My wife's 960 wagon would not start...plenty of
crank, could hear fuel pump start...even smelled
fuel.  Towed (rollback) to garage, they unloaded
and tried starting and it started immediately.
Both fuel pumps have been replaced recently (said
this was the problem) this is the 3rd time this has happeded? Is this the "supressor relay" or perhaps the infamous "fuel pump relay" causing this? HELP!
How do you "program" remote entry FOB for '93 960
and for a '98 XC?
THANKS!

Answer
Hello Jeff! It is best to have an exprerienced Volvo technician check the car for you. That can be caused by many things.
960 remote:Sit in the car with all doors closed. Turn the key in the ignition of and on 5 times.(Do not start the car) On the 5th turn leave the igniton on and press each remote button once.
98 XC: You need to have the dealer program it for you. Special tools are needed.
