Volvo: Driver Side Power Seat, turbo driver, seat bottom

Question
I have 1995 850 Turbo. Driver-side power seat controls work/adjust properly on seat-bottom, but not seat-back. The seat-back is stuck in a position, and will not move. When moving the seat-back switch, I can fell a jerk, but no movement at all. Help
Thank You

Answer
It sounds like the gearing in your seat back itself has gotten stripped or out of place.  Stepper motors drive gear sets which physically move the seat.  The gears can get worn or break and cause the seat to freeze in a position.  You're going to have to take apart the seat to examine the gears.  Good luck!
