hey jimmy ok in my 94 volvo 960 i have this light that is a arrow up orange and its supposed to mean winter mode but i have no control over it it turns on and off when it wants to is this a sensor problem or something else i dont know what to do about it but its annoying me not the light just that when it goes on my car barely accelerates at all do you know what the problem is or how to fix this

Hey Richard! When the arrow flashes, it means there is a fault in the transmission. It could be a gear position sensor (most likely) or something more serious. You will need a dealer or a Volvo specialist with the correct scan tool to read the fault code stored in the TCM.
