Volvo: I have a 2000 volvo S70 SE..., 2000 volvo s70, volvo dealer

Question
I have a 2000 volvo S70 SE which was involved in a significant rear-end collision. Both front seats broke away (back of seat from the bottom seat). The car was repaired.  Now the seats are not as before. The back of seat has movement of a couple of inches, and a hand can easily be put through the bottom of the back of seat and bottom of seat, as there is an opening of several inches. Also, the seat belts don't seem to function properly, which I see as a safety issue. My question is, can the seats be correctly repaired or should they be replaced?

Answer
Hello Phyllis! It sounds like the entire seat should be replaced. Were the seatbelts replaced? If not, I would replace them too. It is best to have a Volvo dealer that has a body shop look at the car for you. It is unsafe to drive. I can't believe a repair shop would let you take the car in that condition! Please take it to Volvo ASAP.
