Volvo: Programming a Volvo 98 V70 Remote Key, v70 xc, authorised dealer

Can you please explain how to program a remote key for a 1998 V70 XC?  We lost our key and remote and have purchased a new key from Volve (which works) and a remote via Ebay.  I would prefer not to have take the car and remote into the dealer for programming if possible.  Thanks for your help!!

no it is not possible,
There ara codes; for ignition key the code is immo code, for remote key it is keyless enter code, they are secret, only an authorised dealer can find them, after finding them the keys can be programmed via Volvo Sytem tester.
Also I recommend you, duridng this programming, they can erase the lost keys from the memory and so the can not start the car and remotes can not lock and unlock the car.
