Volvo: question about repairs required for my 99 Volvo V70XC, electronic throttle control, volvo v70xc

Question
The ETS light on my Volvo wagon is coming on, as are the
ABS and traction control lights.  The dealership tells me
that I need to replace both the electronic throttle control
unit and the ABS control unit, to the tune of about $2K.  My
car has 111,000 miles on it and is 5 years old.

Is this about right?  What would go wrong in these control
units to require them to be replaced?

Thanks.

Laura
