Volvo service manager recently said my 2000 v70 volo has
Weak Battery Cables and recommended replacing them for
$520. What does Weak Cables mean other than a way to
get $520 ?

Hello Arthur! What was wrong with the car that he diagnosed "weak" battery cables? I have
never replaced battery cables on any S or V70. That would be very rare. If you can give me
more info, I can help you better.

The ETS & Check engine lights were on. They replaced the ETM & Accelerator pedal sensor &
a motor mount. When they were done they had to jump start the battery.

Hey Arthur! I would replace the battery. It is probably weak. There may have been a strain on it after the new software was installed for the ETM. They should have had a battery charger on it while the new software was downloading. Get a new battery and let me know what happens.
