Volvo: check engine light on & ABS light on,srs light, volvo 850 t5, volvo 850

MY 1996 VOLVO 850 T5 HAS A SMELL COMING THROUGH THE VENTS INTO THE CABIN.OUTSIDE THE CAR WHEN IDLING IT GIVES OFF THESE SMELLY FUMES,I WAS TOLD MY CATALYTIC CONVERTER IS BLOWN IS THAT POSSIBLE OR CAN IT BE SOMETHING ELSE. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AND ABS LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF WHEN DRIVING BUT WHEN I HAD AN ELECTRONIC SCAN DONE EVERYTHING CHECKED OUT OKAY BUT I CANNOT CLEAR THE LIGHTS, WHAT CAN THE PROBLEM BE… A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO I HAD MY HEAD DONE OVER CAN THIS BE A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR. THE CAR I BOUGHT WAS IN AN ACCIDENT AND I HAD IT FIXED.I REPLACED THE POPPED AIRBAG BUT THE TENSIONER MUST ALSO BE REPLACE IN ORDER TO CANCEL THE SRS LIGHT,CAN I BYPASS THE TENSIONER WITH A RESISTOR TO CANCEL THE SRS LIGHT BECAUSE I WAS TOLD THIS WILL.

it is possible that your convertor is blown.
If ABS lights on and off, it can be said that your ABS Control unit will be broken down, but for now goes on and off, it is not problem, drive the car like this, when it caomes on and will not go "off", you will replace it with new one, it is not problem for you and for the car.
To "off" Srs light, yes it is possible with a resistor, if they can do it, you can get it done like this.
