Volvo: 93 960 on eBay -, ebay seller, cyl engines

Question
I am looking at a '93 960 wagon, eBay # 2482514269.

I am familiar with 4 cyl models going back to the early 80s, but have heard mixed reviews about Volvo 6 cyl engines.

Is this a reliable/serviceable engine?

Hello Carl! The "bad" 6 cylinder is the V-6. Volvo stoped making it in 1990. The 960 has an in-line 6 and is a very good engine as long as it has been maintained. If it is possible, I would have a Volvo tech check it out before you buy. If not, make sure the EBay seller is trustworthy!
