Volvo: 850 Squeaky Front End, spring seats, spring seat

Hello, I recently purchased a 1995 850 GLT sedan with 114,000 miles on it and there is a squeaky noise coming from the front end. It sounds like it might be the springs or struts. It sounds like a squeaky old mattress! It's not loud enough to hear unless the windows are down and I'm pulling up to my mailbox or something. I think everything is original (I have all the receipts from the previous and only owner). The car has obviously been taken very well care of. Is there anywhere underneath that I can lube up or should I go ahead and invest in some new front end parts? Thanks!

Hello Dennis! The noise may be coming from the front shock spring seat. Although there are many front end parts that can make noise, the spring seats usually make that sqeek noise you are describing. I would let a qualified Volvo technician check it and replace it for you.
