Volvo: ABS Warning light, mass air flow sensor, mass air flow

Question
I drive a 1998 Volvo V70 AWD.  My ABS and hence the Traction Control warning light are on more than 50% of the time.  In addition my Lambda warning light came on and stayed on recently and the computerized milage indicator is displaying erroneous numbers and not accurately reflecting the actual milage.

Answer
Hello,
About ABS system, I can say that ABS Control Unit should be replaced with new one. It can affect the mileage problem, so firstly we should solve the ABS problem fisrlt after that we can decide about mileage problem. For lambda, I mean emission system problem, the car has a defective sensor related emission or a faulty at emission. At the inlet side main sensors about emission is mass air flow sensor and throttle unit and idle air control valve, at the exhaust side, oxygen sensors, but which sensor or faulty affected the emission we can learn only if you check the diagnostic trouble codes about emission in an authorised dealer, after that we can decide what we should do about it. If you can learn the DTCs and write me, I can help you more.

Regards...
