Volvo: Check Engine light, exclamation point, thanks john

Question
940 turbo 1992 Volvo. The Check engine light came on and is staying on. It has been on for 5 days. Then another light came on that looks like a light bulb with an exclamation point inside. Our car has been running great. But recently has stalled a couple times and then restarted. What do I need done?

Thanks
John from Indpls.

Answer
Hello John! The check engine light could be on for a number of reasons. There is a fault somewhere in the emmisions system. A fault code will be stored in the LH fuel system ECM. You will need to access the fault codes to point you in the right direction. It is best to have a qualified Volvo technician check it for you. The other light means that you have a bulb out somewhere. Check all the bulbs. I hope this info helps.
