Volvo: 86 760 turbo, fuel pressure regulator, maf sensor

Hello ,
I have a 760 turbo that one day started running rich and fouling the plugs and producing vast amounts of black smoke. After a while it wouldn't even run for long without needing the plugs changed. What could it be? Thanks,

Hey Jeff! Your problem can be caused by a number of things. However, I would check the fuel pressure regulator first. Also, check the MAF sensor and 02 sensor. If you are unsure about anything, please have the car checked by a qualified Volvo technician.
