Driving & Driving Test Tips: pulling off interstate in heavy rain, safe spot, heavy rain

If it is raining too hard to see at night, on the interstate and  you pull off the interstate should you turn off your lights.  I believe you should to prevent someone driving into thinking you are on the interstate.

Answer
You should pull off the interstate on to the nearest safe spot to park off the road.  then you turn off your lights.  only if you get caught on the shoulder of the highway, turn on your emergency blinkers to alert other motorists of your location.  if you blck out they don't know your there and if you leave your normal running lights on they may mistake you for operating on the roadway.
