I think you mean tacograph.

This is  a device used in commercial trucks to plot speed over time, and can also capture rpm, braking, etc. about the truck as it is being driven.

if it is a digital unit, the information has to be downloaded from the unit and then it can be plotted using computer software to obtain a read out.
