Driving & Driving Test Tips: auto accident, reconstructionist, insuranc

Question
Hi, I am seeking advice on an auto accident my daughter was in. Wanting to know if it would be worth it to hire an reconstructionist or not. My daughter was atempting to make a left turn into a street where another lady approaching her had a stop sign. As my daughter went ot turn the lady came toward her to also make a left hand turn and hit my daughter in the left rear door drivers side. There were no witnesses and no report filed. So the insurance is saying driver against driver there is nothing they will do. Even though the pictures do lean toward our side and the door is dented in not scraped. she is saying my daughter came over and scraped her as she was sitting at the stop sign. The car is clearly hit into. What are my chances with a reconstructionist? the damage is 1,400.00 to the car and he wants 750.00 total. Will the insuranc co be liable for the cost of that too? please help.

Answer
A recon could determine whether the other driver was moving or not based upon the damage.  even if you go to your insurance company armed with this information, they still might not take any further interest.

I should first call them and ask if you could prove your point whether they would take it under advisement in determining who is at fault.  If they will reopen the case then you could find a recon to analyze the damage.
