what is meant by disk brake?.
how is it different from other types of brakes?.
Mention the advantages of disk brakes?.

I am probably not the correct person to ask this question. I am a driving instructor and you really need to write to a mechanical specialist.

As far as I know there are two types of brake normally used on vehicles. Disc brakes and drum brakes.

With disc brakes the brake pads grip a disc attacked to the wheel and drum brakes use pads to push against the inside of a spinning drum.
