Answer
Hello Christine and welcome to AllExperts!

Firstly, to receive a citation for an infraction, a Peace Officer would have to see (on-view) the violation occur and choose to act on it. As this did not happen, your violations for improper entry/exit through a parking lot, speeding and other related sections are no longer an issue.

Secondly, an accident is only reportable if it had occurred. As this was a near miss, you had no legal obligation to remain at the scene or report it.

Consider yourself most fortunate. I highly recommend that you slow down and follow safe driving habits however, as you can only get away with hazardous driving a few times before you hit something or someone. Most people spending 3-25 years in prison for manslaughter or second degree murder never intended to do what they did. It is like a game of roulette. Sooner or later, you'll lose. I have seen this happen all too often, when good people make poor choices while driving and receive horrible consequences for their actions.

Remember, defensive driving means to make driving the most important thing you do while behind the wheel. Stay safe Christine, and have a blessed day!
