4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: Lifted 2006 Chevy Silverado and ABS, abs, lifted truck

Question
Should the ABS system be working in a suspension lifted truck? My warning light stays on, but the shop says the system is working correctly for a lifted truck. My truck stops, but there is no abs chatter like I get in my other cars when the the brakes are engaged fully and quickly.

Answer
Tim,

I would take the tuck to a brake shop that is familiar with 4x4's.  This doesn't sound right to me, as the brake system should have nothing to do with the lift, other than longer brake lines and wiring.
It sounds like there is no signal going to the abs system from the brake sensor.  This could be a broken wire, bad ground, etc.
If you run the truck in soft ground such as sand, when you put on the brakes hard, they should chatter if the abs is working.
