4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: axles, alignment shop, chevy k2500

Question
i have a 1998 chevy k2500 4x4. this truck has doesn't have hubs.when i'm in 2 wheel drive making a sharp turn in dirt, the front tires seem to tear it up.should my front axles turn when i,m in 2 wheel drive or not?

Answer
Edgar,

I'm not familiar with that vehicle.  If it has full time 4-wheel drive it will do that.  Also, if it has independent front suspension there is a tendency for one tire to drag slightly in a tight turn.

You may consider having the front end aligned and checked out at a reputable alignment shop.
