4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: rattle front end suburban, suburban z71, cv joint

I have a 2004 suburban Z71 with a rattle that sounds like marbles rattling in the front end left side. It is loud at slow speed then seems to go away at 35 mph. it lessens in sound as the speed increases. There are no other symptoms. There is no shimmying or vibrations. What should I be looking for? Thank you.

You probably have a broken CV joint in the front end. Look under the front end and find the front axle shafts, try to shake them and one or the other will more than likely bee very sloppy in the hub. Replace the axle and you will be good to go!
