when vehicle is driven cold first 5 minutes to stop sign;tranny slips on acceleration like its in neutral then catches on then its fine the rest of the day tranny fluid is good '150000kms on vehicle started when new head gaskets installed (

Answer
Some automatic transmissions have a vacume line that runs to a modulator. This cintrols how firm the shifts are calculating the engine load by measuring vacume. Look to see if there is a loose vacume line near one of the heads that were removed for the gasket job and check to make sure it is not loose on the trans.
