4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: 4x4 93 ford explorer, ford explorer, haynes

well the 4x4 on my explorer was working for a while..then it stoped on me.Im not sure were to start looking at.the push button light doesn't even come on so do you know were i should start looking first?

First, I would check the owners manual or a HAYNES or CHILTONS manual to find the fuse location for the 4 wheel drive. If it is good, the explorers I have seen in that year model had an issue with the "computer" that switches it into 4 wheel drive which is located in the left rear inside panel, If this seems to be the problem it may have to be taken to the dealer for replacement as special ford tools are required.
