I would thank you could remove it without taking the radiator out but I'm not totally sure about it. The best thing to do is hit your local auto parts store and pick up a Haynes or Chiltons service manual. They have lots of information for do-it-your-self work including pictures and lots of text. It will be able to tell you the best way to do it in the least amount of time. But remember to not vent the refrigerant into that air, if it has refrigerant in the system you need to take it to a shop that can recover the freon first. Then swap out you compressor
