4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: S-10 4X4 not working, speed control, selectors

Question
I have a2003 S-10 4X4. I recently had the ABS nodule replaced (I believe unecessarily and the speed control sensor. Now when I push the button to go into 4H or 4L the lights stays on 2H and doesn't shift. I checked the panel fuse and it is OK. Any ideas where to start looking? Could it have been something no reconnect after the new parts installation?

Answer
Bob,

Your 4 wheel drive is a separate system but could have a relation to a disconnected sensor or wire on the transmission itself. Also GM had a fair share of problems with the 4 wheel drive selectors buttons on the dash, this may be your problem. Does your "service 4 wheel drive light ever come on when you try to shift? If the light is on in the 2wd button the unit has power so I don't think you have a fuse problem but it could be a sensor or the 4wd switch itself

I hope this helps some
Ask if you cant find the problem and I will see what else I can do
