4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: Installed a body lift kit and now I have electrical problems, light fuse, gmc jimmy

Question
I installed a 2" body lift kit on my 97 GMC Jimmy 4wd. After it was installed, I noticed that when you turn the headlights on, the right blinker light always stayed on.  Both of my blinkers still worked so I didnt think it was a big deal.
The other day I put the Jimmy in park and I couldnt shift out into drive. My brake light fuse blew as this was happening. I replaced the brake light fuse and I bipassed the shifter solonoid to allow me to shift out of park.
I drove like this for a few days, and now my blinker lights dont work. I also noticed that it doesnt shift into 4wd anymore either (its automatic 4wd).
What could be the problem? Do they all tie in to each other? What would you recommend me doing first?

Answer
Steven, first I would trace the main wiring harness as far as I could. Evidently something has been pinched or stretched or broken during the lift install. Start under the hood at the firewall and you will see a BIG bundle of wires. Follow and check it for slack see if it pinched anywhere and make necessary repairs and the will tie together if it a main wiring harness so it is totally possible
