green neutral light was flashing, while on the highway? not sure what that means. thanks in advance for your help.

You need to check out your owner's manual and see if this is an indication of a bad component, or transmission problem.  Many of the newer cars have indicators of this type programmed into the system.

If this is not the case, then you may have a loose wire, bad ground, or bad connection.  Then you will need to trace out the wiring and see if you can find a bad connection or shorted wire.
