4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: Clicking when turning in 4 hi, jeep yj, universal joints

I have a 1994 jeep yj sahara and noticed a clicking noise when i turn in 4 hi.  is this normal? how can i correct this problem?

This could be a number of things. The components to check are the universal joints on the axles and the front drive line, front axles themselves, front differential (may be low on fluid), along with the transfer case.

You may consider having someone stand near the vehicle when this condition is occurring, and see if they can listen and locate the area of the noise.
