4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: airbag light flashing, jeep wrangler, gearshift

I have a 2002 Jeep wrangler with an airbag "off" switch down by the gearshift.  When in off mode there is a little yellow light that comes on by the switch to signify that the airbags are disabled.  The problem is that in "on" mode, the light has started to blink on and off.  Not sure what this signifies or how to make it stop.  ideas?

Get the Jeep to a shop, and have them run a diagnostic test for the airbag.  This could be nothing more than a faulty switch, or a bad electrical connection.  Whatever it is, you need to have it checked.  It wouldn't be good, if the airbag deployed while you are driving.
