4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: fuel contamination, fuel contamination, filler tube

someone poured an uknown volume of syrup in
gas tank. best solution of repair. has not been
cranked.  

Answer
Disconnect the fuel filler tube and the line leading to the fuel pump.  Remove the tank by removing the straps.  Fill Tank with HOT soapy water and let sit for a few minutes.  Drain tank and rinse with HOT clear water.  Keep rinsing until water from tank is clear.  Blow out fuel lines and filler tube. Reconnect everything.  You were very smart not to start motor.  Best of luck to you Bud
