4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: 2001 Olds Bravada, smart trak, trak system

Mr. Ford: Thank you for your voulenteering support: I have been looking at a '01 Olds Bravada with 42,250 miles for 13,995; is this a good vehicle for the price? It is equipped with the Smart Trak system and is FULLY loaded (Sunroof, heated seats, mirrors, leather BOSE sound system, etc.) I have been looking at NADA and Kelly BB values. Also is this better, as good or not as good as a 4x4 vehicle? Also any other info would be helpful pertaining to this vehicle. Thanks for your help sir!   Tony Kilgore

Hi Tony and thanks for the question.  As to whether it is better or worse than a 4x4 that depends on how you are going to use it.  If you are in snow and mud and off road you should probably look for a 4x4, if not the Bravada will probably fit your needs.  My best site for determining the value of a vehicle has always been www.edmunds.com.  Go there and see what they have to say.  My personal observation has been that you may pay a little less for the Olds, but unless you drive it for a long time it will lose value quicker than some of the other vehicles in the same class, best of luck.  Bud
