4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: S10 Blazer body swap, gmc s15 jimmy, s10 blazer

I have a 1985 GMC S15 Jimmy (same thing as an S10 Blazer) that is pretty rusted out from several winters up near Cleveland.  Running gear is still very good.  I have bought a 1989 S10 Blazer body to put on the 1985 frame.  Both manual transmission both 2.8L v6.  Are there any hidden problems I will run into in doing the switch?  I am fairly experienced at mechanic work.

Kirby, I would recommend you go to your local GMC dealer and check with the parts department.  They have manuals, mostly illustrated, of all the connection points.  They may not have specific answers but should be able to point out potential problem areas.  Best of luck, I would hate to think I had to do a job of this magnitude(I do good to change the oil).  Let me know if you have specific questions.  Bud
