4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: Vehicle Extended Warranty, bud ford, warranty companies

I know that purchasing extended warranties at dealerships can be very expensive and over-priced. I know that purchasing one for this vehicle would be a worth-while investment.How can I research or find a list of possible companies to purchase a very good extended warranty for my 2003 GMC Envoy (V8) that would be accepted by authorized GMC dealerships? Could you help me find some reputable companies or tell me where I could find some information that could help with this?

Thanks Mechelle for the question.  Yes the extended warranties at a dealership as the dealership gets almost half of the premium as a commission.  There are many warranty companies in existence, but the largest and, in my opinion, the best is General Electric which is the largest warranty company in the world.   They do many other things than vehicles such as appliances, boats, TV's and many other things.  I would suggest you go to their web site and click on to the warranty section for a quote.  I believe you can also find warranty info at edmunds.com which is an excellent site.  Best of luck to you.  Bud Ford
