4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: Checking front wheel bearing, vehicle diagnostics, pirate4x4

Question
I have a feeling my bearing may be wearing out on my 97 Pathfinder.  My Question is, how do I go about pulling the the drum? As I never have on this Nissan before.  Is there any problem things I need to look out for as I go about replacing these bearings?

Also, I have the "everyones problem" the noise when I apply my brakes, but the pads are good.
The rotors are ok, but have a raised lip as the pads have wearing into them.

Can you help? Willie

Answer
Hi Willie, the noise when applying the brakes means you need to have the rotors turned.  It's about as simple as that.  Not cheap tho.

As to the bearings, I'm not sure on a Pathfinder, so I'll send you to some web sites where you can find guys to talk with who own them:
www.pirate4x4.com bulletin board, Nissan
or
www.delalbright.com and follow the links to Vehicle Diagnostics and Fixits.
