4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: Hello, Del! For a long time..., toyota highlander, old cars

Hello, Del!
For a long time now I'm researching my car. Why, because I am low on dough. It's between Toyota Highlander or a like, and a Nissan SUV. Here is the thing. In Toyota a time belt replacement is a must after 60. I know what a replacement leads to. Many parts got to come off. Next day you notice the car runs differently. Not good. That means Toyota is out of the question. Now a Nissan. What model? I'm looking for something like a Toyota Highlander quality. Can you suggest anything. I used to repair my old cars but with this electronics inside .... hhuu

p.s. jeep is not good. I've been driving many models.  Stiff and u don't feel the road. jap it is.

Hi Allen, I'd stay with toyota if I were doing it.  So many rigs on the trail these days are Toy's (if they're not jeep). :)
