4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: SUV, toyota highlander, old cars

Hello, Bud!
For a long time now I'm researching my car. Why, because I am low on dough. It's between Toyota Highlander or a like, and a Nissan SUV. Here is the thing. In Toyota a time belt replacement is a must after 60. I know what a replacement leads to. Many parts got to come off. Next day you notice the car runs differently. Not good. That means Toyota is out of the question. Now a Nissan. What model? I'm looking for something like a Toyota Highlander quality. Can you suggest anything. I used to repair my old cars but with this electronics inside .... hhuu

Hi Allen, You have a bad impression of the Toyota Highlander which is undeserved.  Check the repair records of both vehicles at edmunds.com or better at J C Powers and you will see what I mean.  The other excellent vehicle is the Honda.  But remember that the best vehicle is always the one you like best.  Let me know if you have further questions.  Best of Luck, Bud
