Hummers: windshield wipers, electrical, chevy pick ups, chev pickup

i have a 78 chev pickup truck. my windshield wipers wont shut off after i've turn the ignition off. i can cut them off and on without the key. it just started today.

It sounds like you have power all the time at the wiper switch. The ignition switch may have a contact sticking or a relay that controls accessories may be staying open. Or the wiper motor itself may have a relay in it that is staying open (likely if you have intermittent wipers or washer position on switch).

I am not that familiar with 78 chevy pick-ups. If you have a Hanes manual or similar manual there should be a schematic in the back.
