Jeep: jeep running hot, wireing diagram, empty slot

QUESTION:   If the missing auxiliary fan relay was the problem. Would the auxiliary fan, run when you turn the AC on?

ANSWER: Honeslty I'm not sure. The relay slot could be for a 2nd fan but im not sure if that was ever an option on the xj's. I guess put a relay in and see what happens! Is there wiring attached to the slot or is it just an empty slot?

QUESTION:  There is no wireing diagram on the jeep or in the owners manual. The slot is located in what is called the power distribution center according to the manual. Looking down in the slot from the top it appears to be wired.

I would try to put a relay in there and see how your fan reacts.
