Jeep: 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Upper Ball Joint, jeep grand cherokee laredo, jeep grand cherokee

Question
I was wondering how to go about changing the upper ball joint on a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, What parts have to be taken off and how time consuming is it?  Also, does the part have to be pressed back in?

Answer
the balljoint will have to be pressed in so you will need a ball joint press, air tools also help a great deal.  You will need to pull the brakes, the wheel bearing, the axle, and the steering knuckle.  At this point you will need to press the old ball joint in and the old one out.  Hope I could help you!
