Jeep: v8 XJ?, advance adapters, automatics

Question
Is it possible to fit a v8 in a 89xj Cherokee?  if so what kind of v8 302, 318, 327, 350, 360?  i would really like to know if the motor will fit and what type of tranny i would need...everything else like exhaust and electrical i think i could figure out with some help from friends.

Anything will fit in anything if you use the right adapters.  The expert in the field is "Advance Adapters", they have a website you can contact.
Most of my Jeep conversions have been using GM small blocks with GM automatics, the only adapter I need is between the transmission and transfer case although other modifications are needed as well.
