Suzuki: car smoking, suzuki vitara, 2 quarts

Question
My 2.0L V6 1995 Suzuki vitara smokes for 20 seconds after start up. Pretty sure its getting worse, what do you think my problem is?

Answer
It COULD be (or maybe not) valve guide seals.
The IMPORTANT question is
Does it consume oil, and require addition of oil between changes?
How much, if it does?
If it doesn't, or even if it does, compare the cost of a quart of oil once in a while(annual cost probably less than $100 to the cost of valve guide seal replacement ($1000 to $2000), or other major engine repairs.(perhaps more than $2000)
Just how important is this smoking to you?
It can be driven like this for ten or more years without harming the engine, provided you check the oil regularly, and don't let it go too low (more than 2 quarts to bring it back to the "full" mark)
I have a Geo Metro (Canadian assembled Suzuki Swift) that has been needing the occasional quart for over five years now.
Your choice........
Unless you're flush, and just HAVE to have perfection, it probably won't matter, and really isn't worth spending money on at this point, assuming it's not consuming a quart every 600 miles.
