Suzuki: Suitable octane for SUZUKI Sedan SX4 (1.6), suzuki sx4 sedan, combustion chamber

Question
Please advise is RON95 suitable my car SUZUKI SX4 Sedan 1.6 as it is not clearly stated in the manual it mentioned unleaded fuel only.

Please elaborate what are the reasons? What are the consequences and benefits if we use either one?

Answer
Octane is a measurement of the resistance of a particular gasoline to burning explosively, which would cause "ping", or pre ignition.
It would raise the temperatures and pressures in the combustion chamber before the crankshaft and connecting rod was in a position so that the expanding gas could push the piston down, thereby turning the expanding gases into mechanical energy.
You will be able to tell because the engine will make a pinging noise, not unlike the sound of a couple of small pebbles in a can that is shaken violently.  The ping, like the "rattle of a diesel, is the shock wave of explosive burning being transmitted through the walls of the engine.  Diesels are designed to work this way. Gas engines are not, and ultimately it could damage a gas motor.
If you hear ping, use a higher grade fuel, if not, you will probably be fine.
