Suzuki: Type of gas, suzukie, premium fuel

I have a 1993 Suzukie Sidekick (2dr) 4 cylinder engine.  I have always used premium fuel but considering the rising fuel costs, would it be a good idea to use regular (87) fuel?  Would it create any problems?  Thank you for your help

I always used regular grade in my '89 Sidekick with no ill effects.  Look at your owner's manual, and see what octane is required, and then see if you can find what the octane of regular grade is.  Using a higher octane than the engine requires has NO beneficial effects, and does nothing useful.
