Suzuki: RESET SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT, suzuki vitra, fire problem

I HAVE A 1999 SUZUKI VITRA.THE "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" LIGHT CAME ON DUE TO A MISS FIRE.PROBLEM HAS BEEN FIXED BUT I CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO RESET THE ENGINE LIGHT. CAN YOU HELP? THANKS A BUNCH!

I believe that it will have to be reset using a "scan tool" that permits access to the computer codes on OBDII (96 and later vehicles).  Most shops have one, and the charge should be relatively small.  In most cases, it takes 15 to 30 minutes max to erase the code and turn the light off.
