HI. Answer
You've had the van in your possession for two months?  No, you definitely will not get your down payment back if you return the vehicle.  Returning it now will list it on your credit report as a repossession, which will destroy your credit rating.  The bank or the dealer may refer to it as a "voluntary repossession," but it still has the same negative effect on your credit as if the bank had to come to your house, pry the keys out of your hand and haul the van away on a tow-truck.  Your best bet is to sell the vehicle yourself and pay off the loan balance, or trade it in for a more affordable car.
