Tips on Buying Cars: Price, unusual cars, public auctions

Question
I have an 84 Fiero but i wanted to know if there's a website where i could find the value of the car if i want to sell it, because ive seen some Fieros go for a lot more than KBB because they were only made for 5 years but i dont know how to accurately set a price for mine, maybe you could give me some guidelines.

And also can you tell me about how to buy cars at auctions? and some legit places i could look or how to find them. And your opinion do you think it's a risk to buy cars at auctions?

Answer
Personally, I've found KBB to be pretty accurate but on unusual cars like a Fiero, each one commands its owe price based on condition and options.  A nationwide search of autotrader.com will show what folks are asking and you can go from there.

As far as buying cars at auction, there are risks.  Generally, the regular public auctions are used for dealers to get rid of cars that they are afraid to sell retail and that no other dealer will buy.  There is generally a problem, often major with most of those cars.  The risk is proportional to your knowledge of cars and ability to fix them cheaply.
The government auctions such as GSA carry far less risk, but are not always a great deal because so many retail buyers show up and overbid.  Sometimes the local municipality auctions can land some good deals because the cars are fleet maintained like the GSA cars, but they are not very heavily advertised.
