Tips on Buying Cars: Price, fiero club, time auctions

Question
I have an 84 Fiero but i wanted to know if there's a website where i could find the value of the car if i want to sell it, because ive seen some Fieros go for a lot more than KBB because they were only made for 5 years but i dont know how to accurately set a price for mine, maybe you could give me some guidelines.

And also can you tell me about how to buy cars at auctions? and some legit places i could look or how to find them. And your opinion do you think it's a risk to buy cars at auctions?

Answer
kbb is not a good place to find value on older cars...the best way to find the true value of your vehicle is by going on a site like ebay and seeing what the market is for your car....see what people are paying for similar years and models....see if there are any selling in other citys..i use craigslist.com....its a classified listing thats free...see if your car is for sale and for what price and how long its been on...if theres alot for sale and no one is buying them there is no market...also try checking out the fiero club newsletter...just google fiero club......now car auctions....the kind on tv and in the back of magazines are no good...i worked at a dealer and the cars that were junk that we didnt even want to mess with went to the auction.if we could make money on the trade ins we would keep them if not the went to auction.just like ebay was when it first started i was buying cars left and right..now that everyone knows about it there are no deals on cars.ebay is good for selling thats about it,but their prices have gone up to list things..the only time auctions are good is when nobody knows about them..theres fewer people bidding...ive been using craigslist lately and doing pretty well..you should check it out...
