Tips on Buying Cars: Deciding, honda civic hybrid, honda civic coupe

Question
Hi Tom,
I've got money saved up, and I'm trying to decide which car to purchase. I know I'm going to buy new; but I need help from someone who knows alot to know which one to get. Value for my money to be considered, and comparing engines, I'm a fan of speed. Also, I'm starting to get more into car performance, so a car that would be easy to enhance performance and all that jazz.((That would be my boyfriend's influence.)) So here are my choices, what I've narrowed it down to: (Oh, and I prefer a manual transmission.)

Mazda 3
Scion TC
Acura RSX
Acura RSX S
Honda Civic Coupe
Honda Civic Hybrid
Corolla S

I just want someone's opinion, I'm leaning towards the TC.

Thank you very much.
Corolla XRS

Answer
hello....first ask whats most important to you....speed,handling,comfort,gas milage,resale value?ill make a list....
mazda3...great gas milege sporty well built but kind of ugly...
scion tc...good gas milage not too quick handles ok nothing real special..
acura rsx...ok gas milege great handling, but a stiff bouncy ride.. super fast if its a type s with a 6 speed easy to make faster
honda civic(and hybrid)...not real fast, not real cool.. awesome gas milege..this car will last a long long time...
toyo corolla...kinda pricy....but its a well built car that will last...a good all around car...
so with that the best car to "rice out" would be the rsx type s...its fast and reliable and has a great resale value if you want to sell it some day...the best car all around would prob be the honda civic....the tc is nice but it doesnt do any one thing better than the rest..i would look into subaru imprezas..i think they are the best cars made.i have one my girl has one my parents have one...an amazing car...by the way i wouldnt buy new.....try to find a car that has around 10000 miles....youll save soooo much money and it will still be under warranty...so if anything drips squeaks or breaks...you can take it right to the dealer...fixed for free...any other questions just ask.....
